Pamela Anderson, 58, recently revealed she briefly dated Liam Neeson, 73. In an interview with People magazine, Anderson confirmed the two actors had a romantic connection, but clarified it was a short-term relationship and they are no longer together.
Anderson revealed to People that she and Liam Neeson briefly dated after they finished filming. She described a romantic week spent at Neeson’s New York home, recalling one dinner where he playfully introduced her as his “future wife.”
Anderson said that after spending a week together, she and her partner each went to work on different projects. They reconnected while promoting their new movie, The Naked Gun, this summer. She described their time together as enjoyable and compared it to something out of a cozy Nancy Meyers film.
Although their relationship started as a brief romance, Anderson says she and her former partner have developed a strong, lasting friendship. She told People magazine that they’re “better friends now,” and will “always remain a part of each other’s lives.”
Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley appeared together in the funny comedy The Naked Gun, which came out in August. Their playful connection both while filming and during interviews sparked rumors of a romance, including a sweet kiss on the cheek at the movie’s London debut.
Both actors initially avoided confirming their connection. In July, Liam Neeson shared on the Today show, “I hadn’t met Pamela before we started filming. We met on set and quickly found we had a great, developing connection as actors.”
There was some talk that the relationship was created to generate buzz for the movie, but Anderson firmly rejected that idea. He said he found the suggestion ridiculous, explaining, “I always laughed when people thought it was just a publicity stunt. It was genuine – we had real feelings for each other.”
It’s obvious from what she said that Anderson and Neeson had a real connection, even though their relationship didn’t last long. Fortunately for fans, they’ve stayed good friends after ending their romantic involvement.
