The renowned Television network and Amazon MGM Studios are collaborating to make “Pacific Rim” available on Prime Video. According to Variety, the live-action television series based on “Pacific Rim” is now being developed, with Eric Heisserer serving as its writer and executive producer. At present, we don’t have any specific details about the plot. However, it has been confirmed that this series will serve as a prequel to the two films released in 2013 and 2018.
The franchise, originally known from movies, moved to television through Netflix’s animated series titled “Pacific Rim: The Black” in the year 2021. This show continued for two seasons before concluding in 2022. If you’re not acquainted with “Pacific Rim”, here’s a brief overview of its universe. Essentially, a fissure appears in the Pacific Ocean, enabling creatures from another dimension to invade our world.
They’re removing us humans from the equation and I find that fascinating, don’t you? After all, we aren’t the best creatures out there. Instead, they’ve got these massive robots called Jaegers to battle gigantic monsters. It’s quite an exciting spectacle!
Anticipation builds as Legendary Television and Amazon MGM keep working on the Pacific Rim TV series for Prime Video, leaving us eager to learn more about its progress.
