Sadly, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have suffered the loss of their Los Angeles home due to the destructive Pacific Palisades fire in California on January 8. Page Six shared this unfortunate news along with photographs of the couple’s romantic retreat consumed by flames. The residence, which was said to have five bedrooms, six bathrooms and a stunning ocean view, has been affected.
One image published by the source depicted flames erupting from what seemed like a garage door, with the roof entirely destroyed. Additional images captured a three-story house and its surrounding vegetation engulfed in flames.
Neither Meester nor Brody have issued a statement about the loss.
In a recent Instagram update, the former Gossip Girl star posted images from a more joyful period over the weekend, as they both attended the 82nd Golden Globe Awards to honor Brody’s nomination for ‘Nobody Wants This’.
On Sunday, January 5, the couple, who have been together for ten years and have two children, smiled brightly as they walked the red carpet. Meester accompanied the photo she posted with the caption, “I’m proud of my heart.
That same evening, the duo joyfully marked Hollywood’s night at Netflix’s afterparty, seated at a table with Jackie Tohn, Brody’s fellow actor, sharing smiles.
In the wake of the awards ceremony, a fire ignited just over two days later in the Los Angeles area, intensifying rapidly due to winds blowing at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
Approximately 30,000 local inhabitants, among them famous figures such as Ben Affleck and Mandy Moore, are said to have left their properties due to the situation.
On Wednesday, the LA County Fire Department announced that the wildfire has grown to encompass around 5,000 acres and spread into multiple new blazes, such as those in the northern part of Pasadena, the Hurst Fire in San Fernando, and the Eaton Fire. Regrettably, two fatalities have been confirmed due to these tragic incidents.
