Ozzy Osbourne Mourns Loss Of His Dog Rocky: ‘I’ll See You On The Other Side, My Friend’

As a die-hard fan who has witnessed Ozzy Osbourne‘s tumultuous yet enchanting journey through life and music, I can truly empathize with his recent heartbreak over the loss of Rocky, his cherished Pomeranian companion. The bond between man and beast is something profoundly beautiful and unique, and it’s heart-wrenching to witness such a poignant goodbye.

Ozzy Osbourne, the ex-frontman for Black Sabbath, is grieving over the passing of his cherished pet dog, Rocky. In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram on August 22nd, he announced that poor Rocky had passed away earlier in the week.

2 days ago, I sadly said goodbye to my loyal companion Rocky, who had been with me for 15 years, as expressed in a post accompanied by a picture of us together. “I’ll meet you again someday, my friend,” Ozzy wrote. “I will always love you – Ozzy.”

Out of all the family pets, Rocky stood out as a beloved companion, often showcased on the Osbournes’ social media platforms. In fact, he was spotted enthusiastically headbanging to Crazy Train in one of their videos. At that moment, Ozzy affectionately referred to Rocky as his “top fan”.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “I recently paid tribute to our beloved pet Rocky, who was not only a cherished member of our family but also a trusted companion to my bandmate Ozzy. On Instagram, I shared a heartfelt video filled with memories – moments captured in both pictures and footage, accompanied by the soothing strains of classical music. ‘We’ve lost an original and Ozzy’s partner in crime,’ I wrote beneath the post, adding a dog face, a symbol of sorrow, and a rainbow, signifying hope and remembrance. Rest in peace, Rocky, our dear friend.”

The Osbournes, particularly well-known for their affection towards Pomeranians, have felt the sorrow of losing a beloved pet previously. In fact, Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy and Sharon, shared the news about the passing of her dog Polly on social media platforms back in 2021.

In a recent episode of their podcast, The Osbournes revealed they’ve taken in a rescued dog who had suffered from being set on fire. Sharon Osbourne shared that she came across the pup through Underdog Heroes Rescue while browsing social media. She explained that this organization dedicates itself to helping dogs who have been mistreated, and when she first saw the dog they adopted, he was extremely skinny.

Despite surviving such an awful act, Kelly, aged 39, expressed that the unnamed dog “remains brimming with affection.”

Meanwhile, it’s been announced that the Dark Prince has had to postpone his tours due to several health complications, including Parkinson’s disease. Despite this, he’s expressed his intention to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, set for October 19 in Cleveland.
