Sam Heughan shared an extraordinary encounter during his chat on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad and Confused podcast, where it wasn’t Jennifer Lopez he met but her mother, Lupe! The Outlander star recounted the story with all the excitement of a celebrity run-in.
In simpler terms during his appearance on The Tonight Show, it was disclosed that the actress from Atlas, her mother, was the one who presented him with a gift. When the host inquired if he had made a new acquaintance, Heughan acknowledged having met a remarkable individual. “Indeed, I did encounter a truly exceptional woman,” he joked, referencing Jennifer Lopez, adding “Wasn’t there?” as the audience reacted from shock to laughter at his clever remark.
The actor from Love Again, referred to as he, disclosed that Lupe, J.Lo’s mother, who was among the spectators, was the one who had given him the necklace he was showing off. He expressed his gratitude for the “wonderful” gift, saying, “Thank you so much, Lupe,” while looking at the audience.
In a playful twist, Heughan admitted that he had previously encountered the singer-actress’s mother, rather than herself. This revelation turned out to be another one of his humorous jests as he confessed that he has yet to actually meet the actress from Hustlers. Jokingly, he squinted and peered towards the crowd to ensure that the woman behind the hit song “On The Floor” was not in attendance.
Last week, the actor made an appearance on The Tonight Show to chat about the finale of season 7 and offer sneak peeks into the eighth and concluding season of Outlander. He disclosed that the second half of season 7 will end with a suspenseful cliffhanger, which he deemed as one of his preferred finales from the series.
He stated, “Amazing scenes from Outlander, intense dramas, and suspenseful cliffhangers” – these are what you’ll encounter, and discussions about it will likely continue for a while. Regarding filming the last season, he confessed that the entire year was quite emotional for him.
He acknowledged that the series would create a void in his existence, yet he feels thankful for all the blessings it bestowed upon him, among them the actors and team behind the scenes who have grown to be like his kin.
