It’s natural to want to spend a lot of time creating your character’s look in The Outer Worlds 2, just like in any game with customization options. You might even want to change things up later during your playthrough. Many players wonder if the game allows you to revisit and modify your character’s appearance after the initial creation.
It’s also frustrating to create a detailed character and then have their face hidden by a helmet, so we’ll show you how to work around that.
Can you change your appearance? – Outer Worlds 2

You can’t change how your character looks after you create them, so be sure you’re happy with your choices at the beginning of the game. However, you can choose whether or not to hide your helmet.
How to hide your helmet – Outer Worlds 2
If you’d like to see your character’s face instead of it being covered by their helmet, you can change a setting. Go to the Gameplay menu and find the “Show Player Helmet” option. Turn it off, and your character’s face will be visible while still benefiting from the helmet’s protection. You can also do this for your companion’s helmet if you want to see their face as well.
