As soon as you arrive at Free Market Station after leaving Eden in The Outer Worlds 2, you’ll likely notice a hidden crawl-space along the main path. Go through it, climb the ladder, and you’ll find a panel of switches that probably control the locked door nearby. That door looks like it’s hiding some great rewards!
Let’s break down how to solve this puzzle and the correct sequence to pull the levers, so you can get the prizes.
Lever puzzle solution – Outer Worlds 2
Okay, so I figured out the deal with this puzzle! You actually need the N-Ray vision gadget to really solve it. You get that by playing through the main story – you have to go to Dorado and check out the N-Ray facility to unlock it. But, if you already know what you’re doing, apparently you can bypass needing the gadget altogether, which is pretty cool!
Using the N-Ray device, you’ll notice three power sources on the right side of the room. Your goal is to direct those power sources to the three panels near the door. Be careful though – if you send power to a single switch from more than one source, it will overload the system and reset the puzzle.
Here’s the solution. Starting with the top power line:
- Flip the top-rightmost switch
- Flip the switch immediately to that one’s left
- Flip the switch diagonally down and left from that one
- Flip the bottom-leftmost switch
Now the middle power line:
- Flip the middle-right switch
- Flip the switch immediately to that one’s left
- Flip the switch diagonally up and left from that one
To finish up, simply flip the last four switches from right to left. Here’s how to ensure it’s done correctly:
- Flip the bottom-rightmost switch
- Flip the two switches immediately to that one’s left
- Flip the middle-left switch
Once you do that, the door will unlock, allowing you to take the weapon and everything inside the safe. You’ll also find a terminal there with details about a new side quest you can start at Free Market Station.
