Out Of My Mind: Phoebe Ray-Taylor Calls Upon Jennifer Aniston To Voice Her Thoughts In Upcoming Disney Movie

As an ardent fan, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of Disney’s “Out of My Mind”. The story, based on the critically acclaimed novel by Sharon M. Draper, promises to be a heartwarming and enlightening journey. The casting of Phoebe Ray-Taylor as Melody Brooks, a 12-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, is not just a testament to her talent but also a significant step towards inclusion and representation in Hollywood.

Disney has unveiled their latest film titled “Out of My Mind,” where Phoebe Ray-Taylor plays the central character, a 12-year-old dealing with cerebral palsy. To give life to her inner thoughts, they have enlisted the help of renowned actress Jennifer Aniston.

In the movie, Ray-Taylor portrays Melody Brooks, a character who speaks directly to the audience about the hardships and difficulties she encounters in her life because of her illness.

In the course of detailing her daily activities, the 12-year-old disclosed that even though she couldn’t speak in her own voice, she was capable of expressing her thoughts by adopting any other person’s voice.

As the scene begins in the backyard, Aniston’s voice echoes, “I’m Melody Brooks, and for the cost of a smoothie, you can help a child like me who has cerebral palsy.” She then jokes internally, “No, I’m not being serious; I don’t need your money, and I certainly don’t want your pity.

In addition to Phoebe, the film also features Judith Light, Luke Kirby, Emily Mitchell, and Rosemarie DeWitt, along with several other talented actors.

The upcoming movie focuses on a character named Brooks, who is a student like many others, but faces the challenge of finding her unique voice amidst her peers. According to IMDb, this film tells the story of Melody, a 12-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who uses technology and supportive friends to show that what she has to express matters more than how she communicates it.

Besides providing her voice for the character, Aniston also pops up briefly, portraying Rachel Green from FRIENDS. She’s seen grinning at the young girl through the screen.

In an interview about her role in the upcoming film, Ray-Taylor shared that she’s a complete novice when it comes to acting on camera.

At the Sundance Film Festival, the up-and-coming actress admitted, “I’ve never actually acted before, except for this role.” She went on to express her shock and gratitude at having been given such an opportunity.

Out of My Mind will be available to stream on Disney+ from November 22.
