It appears that Halle Berry didn’t forget to remind everyone about the unexpected event that allegedly transpired between her and Adrien Brody in 2003 at the Oscars, when he kissed her on stage – an occurrence that left viewers stunned.
During the 2025 Academy Awards held on March 2nd at Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, prior to the ceremony’s commencement, the actress approached Brody and planted a kiss on him. The crowd surrounding them erupted in applause as they shared this affectionate moment.
On the red carpet, the actress shared with Extra, “I’ve been eagerly waiting for 21 years to give him a kiss here.” As she leaned in and kissed him, the co-star from The French Dispatch found himself surrounded by his partner, Georgina Chapman.
Berry additionally clarified to the publication that she carried out that trick solely due to Georgina being alright.
Brody appeared smartly dressed in his all-black outfit, while the actress playing Catwoman shimmered in a stunning gown designed by Christian Siriano.
For those not familiar, Brody has received a nomination in the Actor in a Leading Role category for his performance in The Brutalist. Joining him in this category are other notable actors such as Ralph Fiennes for Conclave, Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, and Sebastian Stan for Apprentice.
