Oscar Winner Marcia Gay Harden Joins Elle Fanning’s Apple TV+ Series Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Acclaimed actress Marcia Gay Harden is set to make a guest appearance in the drama series titled “Margo’s Financial Woes,” streaming on Apple TV+. The show, penned by David E. Kelley and produced by A24, boasts an impressive cast that includes Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman. This eight-episode series is loosely based on the novel of the same name by Rufi Thorpe.

The story revolves around Margo Millet, a 20-year-old single mom who’s struggling financially following an unfortunate one-night stand with her professor at college. This leaves her jobless and facing the threat of eviction. However, when her long-lost father, Jinx (Offerman), a former pro wrestler who’s retired, unexpectedly reappears in her life, she allows him to move in under one condition: he takes care of her child.

To achieve financial independence as a final resort, Margo decides to join OnlyFans and employs wrestling moves learned from her father’s professional wrestling career. As her online identity gains popularity, though, she must confront the unsavory aspects of internet notoriety.

In the show, a young mother faces financial difficulties and turns to her absentee father for assistance. With guidance from his experience in professional wrestling, she sets up an OnlyFans account. Despite its success, she ponders whether the price of online popularity might be too steep.

Actress Jeanne Tripplehorn, known for her role in The Morning Show, will make a guest appearance. In this role, she portrays Elizabeth, who is the mother of Margo’s ex-college professor. She was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Pollock.

Stream the movie “Margo’s Financial Woes,” starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Laura San Giacomo, Nick Offerman, and Marcia Gay Harden, exclusively on Apple TV+.
