Oscar Isaac Likely to Return for ‘Spider-Man 4,’ but Not as Moon Knight

As a die-hard Marvel fan with years of comics under my belt and countless viewings of every MCU film and series, I must say that the prospect of Oscar Isaac reprising his role as Moon Knight, but this time as Spider-Man 2099, has me absolutely thrilled! The multiverse storyline is always a treat for us fans, and seeing Isaac in a new light would be a fantastic addition to the franchise.

Approximately three years have passed since ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ hit the screens, and a brand new trilogy is now in the pipeline! Just a few months back, the project was officially announced, with both Kevin Feige and the lead actor, Tom Holland, expressing their thoughts on it.

Though it’s confirmed that Tom Holland and Zendaya will reprise their characters, the exact path the narrative might follow is still up in the air and open to interpretation.

Lately, there’s been talk that the upcoming Spider-Man tale might head in one of two paths: an urban, grounded adventure or a saga spanning multiple universes. As per recent leaks, it appears they’ve opted to go with the multiversal route, rekindling whispers about a possible team-up with the Spider-Verse.

It’s been rumored for some time that Miles Morales could make his live-action debut in the next movie, accompanied by several other characters. However, there seems to be some confusion about where Moon Knight fits within this storyline.

The answer can be rephrased as: Oscar Isaac, famous for his role as Moon Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney+ series, might appear again, this time portraying Miguel O’Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099. Miguel O’Hara, a significant character in the Spider-Verse films, hails from Earth-928 and is part of a group handling abnormalities, such as misplaced villains from other dimensions. His role involves maintaining “key events,” a task that conflicts him with Miles Morales.

In the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU), Isaac Kramden is known as Moon Knight, but that doesn’t mean he can’t step into the role of Miguel in live-action films. This is because the Spider-Verse franchise takes place in a separate reality, allowing for actors to play different characters, just like how Robert Downey Jr. could potentially portray both Doom and Iron Man in distinct universes.

Due to their past involvement with time manipulation, it’s not unlikely that Peter Parker from universe 616 might catch the attention of Miguel O’Hara as a possible danger, similar to how Miles Morales was identified as a threat in the recent Spider-Verse storyline.

From a devoted fan’s perspective, it seems there’s buzz about another installment of Moon Knight’s captivating storyline. Additionally, I’ve heard whispers that our favorite vigilante might make an appearance in ‘Marvel Zombies’ and the intriguing ‘Midnight Sons’ project.
