This individual prefers to be recognized as a transmasculine, non-binary person. Professionally, they will continue to be known as Emma Dumont, but among friends and family, they prefer to be called Nick.
People who were designated female at birth but identify with masculinity, such as transgender males and nonbinary individuals assigned female at birth, are often referred to as transmasculine individuals.
In the year 2007, Dumont made their debut on the big screen in ‘True Adolescents’, followed by ‘Dear Lemon Lima’ in 2009, both movies being filmed in their hometown of Seattle. Then, in the year 2010, they emerged victorious in the V Magazine V A Model search competition and secured a contract with Ford Models.
Dumont starred in the NBC pilot Metro in 2011 and joined the cast of ‘Bunheads’ in 2011, playing Melanie Segal. They also appeared in the film ‘Nobody Walks’ in 2012.
2014 saw Nathaniel Dumont shooting two pilot episodes for NBC, one of which was ‘Aquarius’ (which ran for two seasons) and the other being ‘Salvation’ (that wasn’t picked up).
