Pop star Britney Spears has responded to rumors about a disruptive event that occurred aboard a plane during her flight from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles on May 23rd. Reports suggest that she was involved in an incident where she allegedly consumed alcohol and smoked, leading to headlines once more.
As per TMZ’s report, it appears that Spears allegedly began drinking and attempted to light a cigarette during the JetSuiteX semi-private flight. The flight crew responded promptly by asking her to put out the cigarette.
The artist who sings “Oops!… I Did It Again” later reflected on the flight, stating that her clarity of mind was heightened after drinking vodka at the start. She also mentioned that she misunderstood the smoking regulations, thinking it was permissible because of the plane’s design and a friend lighting up a cigarette for her.
Despite LA Airport Police claiming no part in it, it’s said that U.S. Customs authorities assumed control over the incident. Representatives from JetSuiteX declined to discuss the event. Later, Spears shared her personal narrative of the occurrence on her social media platforms.
Yesterday, she posted on Instagram saying, ‘I find this hilarious!’, remarking that the plane she was on had drink holders mounted exterior to the seats – a unique feature as most planes don’t allow smoking there and usually have drink holders within the seat itself. Additionally, she admitted it was her first time drinking vodka, adding that she felt quite intelligent.
In simpler terms, Spears acknowledged the event and expressed regret to those potentially hurt by it. She clarified that she misunderstood the presence of officials at the airport as a show of backing. Furthermore, she shared her unease about how a cabin crew member interacted with her.
Spears asserted, “The flight attendant alerted authorities due to my cigarette smoking on board! It was humiliating, I thought it was excessive but she seemed to dislike me from the start when I boarded the plane! For the first 20 minutes, no one else was aboard and she refused to let me leave my seat, even though I wished to stand up! Her behavior was peculiar as she insisted on ensuring I remained seated and it felt uncomfortable! I found her method of fastening my seatbelt and encroaching upon my personal space unsettling!
Upon touching down at LAX, I, the overly enthusiastic fan, found myself face-to-face with the authorities who had a stern conversation with the Toxic hit-queen about her antics. Thankfully, she managed to avoid handcuffs and was granted her freedom just moments later.
The sources reported that Britney Spears behaved in an unhelpful manner during the flight, causing some crew members to worry. However, she concluded her remarks by directing everyone’s focus towards her upcoming fashion project, expressing excitement about a fresh line of accessories.
