As a dedicated fan who has binge-watched every season of Only Murders in the Building since its inception, I must say that the latest season has certainly lived up to my expectations, and then some! The first episode was a thrilling ride, filled with suspense and intrigue that left me on the edge of my seat.
The fresh season of Only Murders in the Building has been unveiled, and its inaugural episode delivers a fresh burst of excitement as a new mystery unfolds. As new faces join the cast, along with familiar figures from previous seasons, including the beloved trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, there’s speculation that Eugene Levy’s character could be the main suspect.
This freshly unveiled series boasts an impressive ensemble, featuring Molly Shannon (formerly of Saturday Night Live), portraying the role of Paramount executive Bev Melon. Additionally, we have Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, and Levy, who are depicted as themselves in the production.
In the well-known show, an interesting pattern is observed: When a famous person appears as themselves, it often turns out to be a decoy. However, if a prominent actor or new character plays a fictitious role, they are likely suspects in the ongoing mystery.
This upcoming season, brimming with renowned celebrities and set to unveil some new ones, promises an exciting adventure as we tackle a major puzzle.
In terms of his character, Eugene Levy often comes across as courteous towards Charles, and there’s an uncanny resemblance between him and Steve Martin. Moreover, Eugene Levy’s character could easily be confused with that of Charles.
Alongside Zach Galifianakis, it’s evident that he could be a potential suspect as well. They have had a history of conflicts ever since they first crossed paths.
In this series, Galifianakis embodies a character based on himself. However, this character is an exaggerated, somewhat unflattering version of his actual self. Interestingly, he excels at playing a role that could serve as a decoy, a skill we’ve seen in earlier seasons.
In other words, since we’ve only started the first episode of season 4 of “Only Murders in the Building,” it’s much too premature to identify the potential culprit at this point.
However, Eugene Levy could be one of the suspects as he has a motive in the series at the moment.
But again, it is a series that has always surprised us, and it is highly possible that we have not even been introduced to the murderer yet. The first episode of Only Muders in the Building was released on August 27, 2024. The following episodes will be released each Tuesday on Hulu.
