One Punch Man Chapter 202 Breakdown: From X to Y, Everything You Missed

As a dedicated fan who has been following One Punch Man since its inception, I must admit that I was initially disappointed with the direction chapter 202 took. The epic battle between Blast and Empty Void was put on hold for Suiryu’s hospital discharge and subsequent journey to Neo Heroes.

Enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the next chapter in the fierce clash between Blast and Empty Void, as depicted in One Punch Man, but the manga veered off course. Instead of a thrilling battle, the story shifted focus to Suiryu’s recovery, revealing he had been discharged from the hospital. Interestingly, his path deviated and led him to Neo Heroes.

Completely Healed, Chapter 202 begins with Suiryu departing from the hospital. The nurses weren’t thrilled about his departure, but Suiryu was eager to progress. In a brief stroll through one town, Suiryu encountered a monster of tiger-level strength named Great Giant Anteater, wreaking havoc and chaos. In mere moments, he subdued it by delivering a powerful kick. At that instant, Suiryu felt his powers had fully restored. The crowd around him yearned to converse with him, but he skillfully vanished without a word.

Even though Suiryu knew that the Hero Association was the greatest organization ever created, he yearned to join Saitama’s group. But before he could submit his application, he encountered a demon-level monster called Emperor Giant Anteater. Contrary to what Suiryu assumed, it wasn’t Saitama who defeated this beast; instead, a former idol singer turned hero named Webigaza claimed the victory in Neo Heroes. This fact made Suiryu popular among her fans, and she asked for their moral support for Neo Heroes. Intrigued by her charm, Suiryu found himself drawn towards her.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it as: I had the chance, albeit briefly, to cross paths with Webigaza during my stint with Neo Heroes. I was eagerly anticipating our encounter, but unfortunate timing left me shouldering unexpected hospital bills when he had already departed. Later on, Suiryu officially joined Neo Heroes and was equipped with a battle suit designed to enhance his strength. Though the suit was uncomfortable, it fueled rapid growth in his power, until eventually he managed to shatter it.

1) Originally, the suit was built at a cost of five million, and it was Suiryu who ended up being accountable for the damages. Consequently, he was obligated to stay with the Neo Heroes as one of their top members until he paid off his debts. This sudden turn of events meant that instead of becoming part of the Hero Association, Suiryu found himself embroiled with the Neo Heroes. The fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Suiryu’s story unfolds in this latest phase of his life.
