Great news for fans of One Piece! Season two premieres this March, and even better, the show has already been renewed for a third season. Production on season three is officially underway, meaning we’ll get new episodes without a break. Plus, four actors – Mikaela Hoover (Chopper), Joe Manganiello (Mr. 0), Lera Abova (Miss All Sunday), and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Nefartari Cobra) – are now series regulars, giving fans plenty to speculate about. Season three is also hinting at a trip to the kingdom of Alabasta. Here’s a rundown of everything we know so far!
One Piece Season 3 Heads to Alabasta as Production Starts
It’s now almost certain that the third season of One Piece will adapt the popular Alabasta arc. A recent production image confirms this, as Alabasta is a desert kingdom featured prominently in that storyline. In this major story arc, the Straw Hat Pirates attempt to stop a war. We won’t reveal any spoilers, but expect plenty of humor, action, and emotional moments. However, if any show can handle a complex story well, it’s Netflix’s live-action One Piece.
As a huge One Piece fan, I noticed something interesting in the latest episode preview! The title, “Where There’s Smoke,” immediately made me think of that classic moment when Luffy and Ace reconnect while they’re trying to evade Smoker – you know, the whole “Where there’s Smoker, there’s Fire Fist Ace” vibe. And eagle-eyed fans will spot Ace’s dagger in the sand in one of the script images. It definitely feels like this episode will revisit that encounter, but we’ll just have to wait and see if my hunch is right!
4 Characters Become Series Regulars on One Piece Season 3

Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova, and Sendhil Ramamurthy have all joined the main cast of One Piece starting with season three. We can’t wait to see their characters develop further in season two and become fully realized in season three.

I’m so excited for season three of One Piece! The whole original crew is back – Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Plus, we’re getting some awesome new faces joining the adventure, like Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Cole Escola as Bon Clay, and Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace. It’s going to be a wild ride!
