Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Season 2 of One Piece, offering fans a sneak peek at what’s coming next for the Straw Hat Pirates.
The live-action series “One Piece: Into the Grand Line” returns on March 10th with a new season. Expect more intense adventures, several new characters, and the first appearance of fan-favorite Tony Tony Chopper.
New Villains, Same Goal: The One Piece
The trailer begins with a foreboding message: a woman warns Luffy, “You’ll never find the One Piece,” and immediately attacks him, establishing the central conflict.
In Season 2, Luffy and his crew – Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji – face off against Baroque Works, a dangerous secret organization of assassins featured in the Alabasta storyline of the original manga.
The newly revealed villains include:
- Miss All-Sunday (Lera Abova)
- Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran)
- Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian)
- Mr. 5 (Camrus Johnson)
- Miss Valentine (Jazzara Jaslyn)
- Mr. 9 (Daniel Lasker)
- Miss Goldenweek (Sophia Anne Caruso)
I just saw the new teaser, and Miss All-Sunday really got to me with what she said to Luffy. She told him, “You might think you’re unstoppable, but your friends aren’t made of rubber.” It was a really harsh thing to say, and it definitely made me worry about his crew!
Chopper Makes His Live-Action Debut
This season, fans will finally see Tony Tony Chopper come to life in live-action! Mikaela Hoover not only voices the character but also performs the facial capture, bringing Chopper to life on screen.
The lovable reindeer doctor, famous for changing his shape and having a huge heart, first appeared in chapter 134 of the manga.
As a huge One Piece fan, I was so thrilled to hear Eiichiro Oda himself was impressed with how Chopper turned out! He said the team absolutely nailed bringing him to life – everything from his look and fur to his expressions and voice was just perfect. He really emphasized how talented everyone was, and now we finally get to see it all! It’s amazing to hear such praise from the creator himself.
Into the Grand Line
Season 2 of the Netflix series will feature even tougher challenges and more dangerous adventures for the Straw Hat crew as they explore the Grand Line, a famously treacherous sea filled with unusual islands and formidable foes.
As the show continues to follow the main storylines from the manga, viewers can anticipate an action-packed season with plenty of suspense, heartfelt moments, and exciting battles fueled by the unique powers of devil fruits.
