Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece quickly became a huge hit in 2023, earning praise for its close adherence to the original manga by Eiichiro Oda, as well as its impressive visuals and acting. Netflix announced that Season 2 of One Piece will premiere on March 10, 2026, and will only be available on Netflix. Similar to the first season, the new season will have eight episodes, all released at once. Filming finished in early 2025, and the show is now being edited and finalized.
The first season concluded with Luffy’s victory over Arlong, liberating the Conomi Islands and earning him a new bounty. With that done, the Straw Hat crew began their journey into the Grand Line, a notoriously treacherous and famous sea.

What is the storyline of One Piece Season 2?
In Season 2, the Straw Hat crew will journey through Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. These adventures represent their move from the East Blue and the beginning of their voyage on the Grand Line.
The upcoming season of the show will feature Luffy and his crew encountering tougher opponents, mysterious islands, and new friends. Fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper will make his first appearance in Season 2. Katey Sagal will play Dr. Kureha, a key character in the Drum Island storyline, as confirmed by executive producer Matt Owens.

The cast is growing with exciting additions like Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, and Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and many more talented actors.
New episode titles for the series have been revealed: “Whisky Business,” “Wax On, Wax Off,” “Big Trouble in Little Garden,” and “Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom.” Netflix has also shared preview images hinting at the setting of Drum Island, which they’re calling a “nameless country.”
