One MCU Star Claims He’s Even Worse Than Tom Holland at Leaking Secrets, Reveals He Was “Almost Fired” 36 Times

As a longtime fan of Frank Grillo, it’s fascinating to follow his journey through the Marvel and DC universes. His candid admissions about almost being fired multiple times by Marvel due to his honesty are a testament to his integrity as an artist. It’s reminiscent of a game of Russian Roulette, where instead of bullets, there were production deadlines!

Enthusiasts of Frank Grillo are excitedly waiting for his portrayal of Rick Flag Sr. in the DC Universe, but before switching sides, Grillo gained recognition as Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interesting disclosure, the actor shared that, unfortunately, he came close to being let go from Marvel on 36 separate occasions.

During a recent conversation with ComicBook regarding his latest film, “Long Gone Heroes,” Grillo revealed the need for careful consideration in his words.

It seems there’s not much I can say without potentially causing problems, so I find myself in a position where I have to remain silent and simply invoke my right against self-incrimination. To put it mildly, I struggle with this situation quite a bit. For instance, Marvel came very close to terminating my services no less than 36 times due to my honesty. I detest lying, but sometimes, I find myself doing so more often than I should. However, I’ve been given fair warning about this.

Fans swiftly noticed similarities between Grillo and Tom Holland, as both actors have a tendency to unintentionally reveal significant plot twists from movies through interviews and social media posts. Grillo openly discussed sequels, character demises, and unexpected cameos until he was assigned a “stage minder” in Benedict Cumberbatch to prevent him from divulging too much information.

About his latest job within the DC Universe, Grillo seems genuinely excited about the work he’s involved in, as shown by his frequent posts from the Peacemaker set on his social media accounts. Furthermore, there are whispers that he will also be seen in the upcoming Superman film, hinted at by leaked photos from the set.

When queried about potentially rejoining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Grillo offered a considered reply.

In retrospect of my life’s journey so far, many things I once believed to be genuine and authentic have been questioned as I’ve grown older. If given the chance, I would gladly revisit those experiences. Meanwhile, I’m thoroughly enjoying my work with DC.

I’m thrilled with James Gunn and Peter Safran, as they’ve presented a fantastic chance for me. Right now, I’m content with all I’ve accomplished so far, but if the opportunity arises where we can collaborate on something exceptional, I’d be more than prepared to jump on board.
