At the 2024 Paris Olympics, a journalist from The Today Show was there, reporting alongside Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Willie Geist and Craig Melvin. In the midst of all the excitement, Kotb accidentally tore her bright yellow dress at the seam.

In contrast to the crisis, she remained unfazed and with assistance from a Today show team member, she swiftly resolved the predicament using an unconventional tool – a stapler. The team member temporarily fixed the torn part of the dress, which Hoda Kotb later concealed by readjusting her belt, making it appear as if nothing had happened!

Instead of sharing, she posted a video of the entire mishap on Instagram, and tagged it as “Clothing mishap – a simple solution with a stapler!” in her caption.

Kotb’s fashion parade at Paris Olympics

The talk show host meticulously explored every fashionable option for the prestigious event! On July 25, she graced the Pre-Olympics party, co-hosted by Vogue at Fondation Louis Vuitton, in a chic one-shoulder black jumpsuit with a billowing sheer sleeve that was cinched at the waist.

At the inaugural event, she coordinated in white with her fellow host, Savannah Guthrie. Later on, they both graced Ralph Lauren’s Team USA party in stylish ensembles. Kotb chose a champagne sequin tank top and spacious trousers, while Guthrie donned a beautiful blue floral-print dress.

Despite being absent from the event, Kotb’s children joined in the sports enthusiasm for Team USA, cheering them on from home. She proudly posted pictures of her two kids wearing their adorable unitards in American flag colors. Her caption read, “Team USA cheerleaders at home!”
