Nobody Wants This Trailer: Kristen Bell And Adam Brody Star As THIS Real-Life Inspired Couple In The Upcoming Rom-Com Show

As a hopeless romantic who has spent countless hours binge-watching rom-coms and sifting through dating apps, I can’t contain my excitement for Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s new Netflix series, Nobody Wants This! The trailer alone had me at “hello,” and the prospect of their on-screen chemistry has my heart fluttering like a hummingbird on caffeine.

Actors Kristen Bell and Adam Brody will feature in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy series titled “Nobody Wants This,” debuting in September. A sneak peek of the show was unveiled on Thursday, revealing that Bell plays Joanne, an agnostic podcast host, who unexpectedly encounters Noah (played by Brody), a rabbi, at a gathering. As the trailer concludes, Noah queries whether there might be potential for their relationship to blossom. Check out the teaser video below.

As an avid devotee, I can’t help but immerse myself in this captivating tale that unfolds the surprising bond formed between two individuals, who crossed paths at a social gathering, despite their contrasting perspectives on life and the hurdles posed by their respective families. My beloved characters Joanne (portrayed by Justine Lupe) and Noah (Timothy Simons), have siblings, Morgan and Sasha, respectively, who occasionally lend a helping hand but just as often stir up complications in this intricate web of relationships. The ensemble also features Stephanie Faracy, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Michael Hitchcock, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Bearman, adding layers to this compelling narrative that I simply can’t get enough of.

In a nutshell, the series revolves around an atheist podcast host and a rabbi who’s recently single. They stumble upon each other at a party and leave together, sensing a connection. However, their contrasting perspectives on life and the hurdles of contemporary romance could be complicated by their respective families, including Joanne’s sister Morgan and Noah’s brother Sasha.

Creator Erin Foster, inspired by her own experiences, created the series to highlight the challenges of being happy in a relationship. Emily Arlook joins the cast in a recurring role as Rebecca, Noah’s perfect Jewish girlfriend.

In an interview, Foster clarified that the series does not intend to express political opinions regarding religion. Instead, Erin shared with Tudum that her aim was to narrate a Jewish tale, offering an outsider’s viewpoint on Judaism, as someone who deliberately embraced it.

She explained, “The concept of this series stems from the best decision I’ve ever made: falling for a kind Jewish man. I discovered that being content is more challenging than being unhappy – there’s simply nothing to grumble about. This show, therefore, is inspired by all the difficulties and complexities involved in finding the right partner.”

Beginning on September 26th, all ten episodes of the series “Nobody Wants This” will be accessible on Netflix. The production of this series is a joint effort between Netflix, 20th Television, and Steven Levitan Productions. Foster and Craig DiGregorio are the creators and co-showrunners, with Steven Levitan, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton, Jack Burditt, and Oly Obst for 3arts serving as executive producers.
