As a devoted fan who has been eagerly following the romantic comedies scene for quite some time now, I must say that I am absolutely thrilled about the renewal of Nobody Wants This for a second season on Netflix! The chemistry between Adam Brody and Kristen Bell is nothing short of magical, and their witty banter had me hooked from the very first episode.
In a delightful turn of events, Netflix has acquired the rights for a second season of the popular series “Nobody Wants This,” featuring Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in pivotal roles. The head of content at Netflix shared that the upcoming season will carry forward the romantic narrative and humor, while introducing fresh creative minds to the project.
Regarding the executive producer, Eric Foster will once more assume the role of the creative force behind the series.
The first season of the Netflix series was dropped at the end of last month, leaving the fans wanting more of Brody and Bell’s chemistry. Additionally, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan have come on board with the series as the executive producers, with the writers’ names still being under wraps. Other producers include Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Bell, Steven Levitan, and Oly Obst. 20th Television is the studio.
Prior to the premiere of the show in September, Konner and Kaplan decided to sit at the show’s table, each taking their respective seats.
Based on available data, it was anticipated that “Nobody Wants This” would rank among the most popular romantic comedy series. Although it debuted in second place during its opening week, it managed to move up to the top spot in the subsequent week.
Prior to revealing Season 2, Foster expressed that impersonating a show creator was one of the most rewarding moments in her professional journey.
She explained, “Everyone from the outstanding actors, hardworking crew, dedicated producers, and visionary executives played a crucial role in making this show what it is today. It’s beyond my wildest dreams to see how audiences are responding to this series now that it has been released worldwide.
Foster went on expressing her gratitude for being able to carry on with the tale, and more so, for doing it in collaboration with Konner and Kaplan.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes insights about an upcoming Netflix production I’ve been closely following. In March 2023, the project was greenlit with the dynamic duo, Jodie Foster and Craig DiGregoria, already on board as executive producers, even before the show’s title had been revealed! With a tight timeline due to the five-month WGA strike, the series was set to be filmed. The dedicated cast and crew started shooting in January 2023 with the goal of meeting an ambitious release date.
More information about the upcoming second season of Nobody Wants This is coming up shortly. You can already watch the first season on Netflix.
