‘Nixed Me So Hard’: Christopher Meloni Shares The Adorable Name He Initially Wanted To Give His Pet Dog

Meloni opted for a name other than Scotty and instead considered calling him Biscotti, but his family disapproved. “My family, as they usually do, shut down my idea,” he humorously notes, adding that he stood firm like a cookie that doesn’t easily crumble. He playfully says, “That’s just the way it goes… the biscotti doesn’t crumble easily either.”

Scotty’s character is clearly reflected in his style. As Meloni puts it, he resembles a bassist from a ’70s hair metal band, or someone with black eyeliner. However, Scott finds this amusing and playfully asserts that he hasn’t seen Meloni applying makeup on him. Yet, he implies that if a photo were shown, the response might be one of surprise due to his supposed use of makeup.

During the production of season 5 of Organized Crime, Meloni found time to partner with Temptations Cat Food for a special podcast series titled “Catch a Cat Burglar: Purr Duty”. Speaking about it, he shared, “I was drawn to the playful seriousness of the project. I’m the main storyteller, maintaining suspense and keeping listeners engaged as we follow the intriguing tale of this cunning cat, much like unraveling a ball of yarn.”
