Starting from August 3, 2025, Nintendo has planned to adjust prices for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED, and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles, as well as some associated accessories, in the United States. Exempted from these modifications are the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 consoles; however, certain accessories designed for the Nintendo Switch 2 will undergo price changes.
The prices for Nintendo Switch Online memberships haven’t been altered in the recent updates, but Nintendo has hinted that potential price modifications might occur in the future.
Nintendo explained that they made these price alterations due to current market trends, similar to the recent rise in costs for goods in Canada. Consequently, it’s likely that the forthcoming changes will lead to price hikes rather than decreases.
Nintendo’s president has earlier cautioned that America’s tariff regulations may prompt the company to think about raising prices, potentially including those for the Switch 2.
Earlier today, Nintendo announced the official sales numbers for the Switch 2’s first month.
