As a die-hard comedy enthusiast and follower of Nikki Glaser’s career, I can’t help but be absolutely thrilled about her recent news. It’s not every day that a comedian like her gets the chance to host one of the most prestigious award shows in Hollywood – the Golden Globes!
I remember watching Nikki on Comedy Central Roasts and being blown away by her quick wit, fearless humor, and ability to roast with the best of them. Her recent Netflix special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, was a testament to her unparalleled talent in the comedy world.
What’s even more impressive is that Nikki had plans for plastic surgery around the same time as the Golden Globes, but instead chose to prioritize her career and accept the incredible opportunity to host. That’s the kind of dedication and passion I can get behind!
I have a feeling that this year’s Golden Globe Awards is going to be one for the history books, with Nikki at the helm. And who knows, maybe she’ll even sneak in a few well-timed jokes at her own expense during the show. After all, comedy is all about taking risks and pushing boundaries – something Nikki Glaser does better than anyone!
I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us on January 5th, 2025. It’s going to be a night full of laughter, tears (from laughing so hard), and unforgettable moments. Bring on the Golden Globes – Nikki Glaser is ready to shine!
Oh, and one last thing: I hope they don’t ask her to roast herself during the show. I can only imagine how hilarious that would be, but I might just burst from laughter if she does! 😅
Comedian Nikki Glaser apparently postponed her cosmetic surgery appointment in order to focus on her career advancement ahead of hosting the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. During an appearance on CBS Morning on December 29, Glaser disclosed that she had been planning to undergo plastic surgery around the same time as the 82nd Golden Globes.
Come January 2025, I was contemplating, perhaps even considering, undergoing a brow lift or some other intensive surgical procedure – something I’ve been pondering for quite some time. However, during the broadcast, I shared that my plans abruptly changed in an instant upon receiving a call from two of my agents.
Based on my personal experiences working with various teams, I’ve noticed that when there are two people involved in delivering news, it usually means it’s good news. In contrast, if only one person is assigned to deliver a message, it often indicates that the news isn’t favorable. This has been my observation because no one enjoys being the bearer of bad news and would prefer to share it with someone else when possible.
Last August, I was thrilled to learn that I, along with CBS and the Golden Globes, were looking forward to the upcoming annual event – which would be hosted by me on Sunday, January 5.
In a statement, Glaser expressed her excitement by saying that the Golden Globes is among her most cherished television events and this year, she’s overjoyed to not only be part of the audience but to even have a seat on stage at the show.
She went on to explain that the Globes isn’t just a significant event for television and cinema, but also for comedy. It’s unique because, unlike many other occasions in show business, it not only tolerates, but actively invites self-deprecating humor.
Glaser is renowned for her contributions to Comedy Central Roasts and most recently for Netflix’s live event, The Greatest Roast Ever: Tom Brady. During this roast, she was accompanied by a star-studded group including Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss, and Kim Kardashian, all taking turns to mock the former New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.
On January 2025, you’ll catch the live broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards between 8 PM and 11 PM, right here on CBS TV. Alternatively, if streaming suits you better, don’t forget to tune in on Paramount+!
