Nikki Glaser Is Excited To ‘Lovingly Mock’ Hollywood As Host For 2025 Golden Globes; ‘Might Also Get Me Canceled’

As a die-hard fan of comedy, I am absolutely thrilled about the impending Golden Globe Awards in 2025! With Nikki Glaser at the helm, I am confident that this year will be nothing short of hilarious and brilliantly entertaining. Her knack for roasting and her impressive track record with Comedy Central make her the perfect choice to continue the legacy of iconic hosts like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Ricky Gervais.

2024 is nearing its end with a flurry of events behind us, yet anticipation builds as we look forward to the New Year 2025. Similarly, award shows, eager for their turn in the spotlight, are lining up, ready to kick off from January onwards.

Initially, there’s the Golden Globe Awards on tap. As reported by USA Today, following her witty jabs at Tom Brady, comedian Nikki Glaser is ready to take the stage as host for this prestigious award ceremony, where she will celebrate and honor this year’s outstanding films and creative works that truly deserve recognition.

In a statement, Glaser expressed his fondness for the Golden Globes, stating that it’s one of the rare occasions when the entertainment industry not only tolerates but actively invites self-deprecating humor (I certainly hope so). (Indeed, I hope so too.)

She went on to express her desire to carry on the longstanding practice, although it could potentially lead to controversy.

The well-known comedian went on to remark that several of her favorite jokes ever were sparked by Golden Globes monologues, which seemed to perfectly capture what many of us unknowingly yearned to hear – humor from past hosts such as Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Ricky Gervais.

For years, Glaser, known for his contributions to the world of humor and roasting, has graced various Comedy Central roasts. He’s famously poked fun at high-profile figures such as Alec Baldwin and Rob Lowe.

In addition, she criticized Tom Brady severely during a Netflix special earlier this year. Her performance was widely acclaimed as she mercilessly teased the football icon about his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

Last year, comedian Jerrod Carmichael skillfully hosted the Globes, delivering hilarious roasts, witty one-liners, and engaging stage performances.

Instead of Jo Koy, comedian, handling the Golden Globes hosting role in January 2024, that responsibility is passing to Glaser as of now.

At the 2024 event, Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer was the ultimate winner, earning the Best Motion Picture – Drama accolade. Notably, Nolan, composer Ludwig Göransson, stars Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., as well as movies such as Barbie and Poor Things, also received awards. We eagerly anticipate who will claim this year’s golden statuette!

On December 9th, we’ll learn who has been nominated for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. These awards will be broadcasted on both CBS and Paramount+ starting from Sunday, January 5th, 2025.
