During her preparation for her second global tour, Indonesian singer Nicole Zefanya reminisces about a cherished memory: opening for music icon Taylor Swift during the Red Tour in her home country. Reflecting on this experience as Niki, she shares how she was awestruck by the immense audience size.
The popstar confessed, “I absolutely lost consciousness during the performance,” she admitted, “To be truthful, I don’t recall my time onstage; I remember simply walking on and then off.” Although she was “petrified to death” in front of the enormous audience, she disclosed her strategies for overcoming her initial stage fright. Firstly, she imagined herself performing in an empty bedroom, as if she were the only one watching. This mental exercise helped her adapt to live performances, a skill she now employs on a global stage.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that I’m embarking on the NIKI World Tour, my second headlining concert series, following the release of my third studio album, “Buzz,” on August 9. This tour is set to span across 41 cities, with performances in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
With Buzz, Niki openly discusses her experiences on tour and the draining nature of it. In an interview, the singer explained how she struggled to create a regular routine and maintain balance while being away from home for extended periods. “It’s incredibly challenging to establish a sense of normalcy,” she admits. Furthermore, Buzz touches upon her split with Jacob Ray, another musician she was romantically involved with for four years. Creating music provided solace during this difficult time, as the break-up was indeed a tough chapter in Niki’s life.
