‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’ Trailer Unleashes Mutants in Clive Barker-Inspired Zoo Chaos

As someone who has spent countless hours exploring the wilderness and observing the intricate dynamics of animal societies, I can’t help but be intrigued by the upcoming animated feature ‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’. The concept, reminiscent of a Clive Barker-esque imagination, stirs a unique blend of anticipation and amusement within me.

A new sneak peek is out for the animated movie ‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’, showcasing a chaotic zoo overtaken by genetically altered beasts.

Drawing inspiration from the vivid imagination of acclaimed author Clive Barker, this idea aims for a unique fusion of comedy and terror, all presented in a way that’s suitable for a wide audience.

Set to hit theaters in the U.S. on March 7, 2025, by Viva Pictures, and in Canada by Elevation Pictures, this film is helmed by experienced animators Ricardo Curtis and Rodrigo Perez-Castro.

As a gamer, I’m always on the lookout for games with memorable characters, and this dynamic duo certainly delivers! With their impressive portfolio that includes ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘The Book of Life’, they’ve crafted a tale brimming with peculiar yet adorable personalities.

At the apparently peaceful Colepepper Zoo, the story unfolds with a meteor impact, unleashing an extraordinary virus. This virus alters the zoo animals, turning them into a diverse horde of grotesque, drooling zombie-like creatures.

In the midst of turmoil, a spirited young wolf named Gracie teams up with a rough-and-tumble mountain lion. Together, they strive to reestablish peace. With a variety of animal companions who have also survived, they work tirelessly to halt the spread of a disease and confront Bunny Zero, a menacing mutant leader.

This lively journey features an ensemble consisting of David Harbour, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Scott Thompson, and Gabbi Kosmidis, each infusing it with their unique energy.

The movie, initially screened at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, was given a PG rating by the Motion Picture Association because of its intense action scenes and subtly frightening imagery.

We’re excited to find out how families worldwide will respond to this unusual take on a typical zoo experience.
