Nicole Eggert’s Battle With Breast Cancer While Producing Baywatch Kept Her Motivated; KNOW More

I have been deeply moved by the inspiring story of Nicole Eggert, a remarkable woman who has faced adversity with grace and resilience. As a dedicated follower, I have watched her journey from her iconic role on Baywatch to her current battle against breast cancer.

Actress Nicole Eggert, best recognized for playing Summer Quinn on Baywatch, currently battles breast cancer, specifically stage 2 cribriform carcinoma, as diagnosed in December 2023. Despite the hardship, Eggert maintains a resilient and optimistic outlook, describing her journey as a thrilling yet unpredictable roller coaster ride with its fair share of highs and lows. Regardless, she stays strong and continues to face each day with a positive attitude.

Additionally, as she continues her health journey, Eggert has been keeping herself occupied with a fresh undertaking. Beginning August 28th, on Hulu, you can catch the docuseries titled “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun,” which Eggert produced. This series revisits the iconic 90s TV show Baywatch and highlights cast members who were let go during that era. Eggert aims for this production to offer these actors the recognition they deserve, as they were often reduced to nothing more than attractive figures in red swimsuits by many.

For Eggert, working on this project for the past five years has served as a form of healing therapy, particularly given her diagnosis. It filled what would have otherwise been a void and provided a sense of purpose that kept her focused throughout. She credits the project with being like a ray of sunshine in her life because it helped her navigate health challenges. Even during difficult times, she found motivation to keep going.

Nicole draws inspiration from her family as well. At 39 years old, she’s a mother to two daughters, Keegan (13) and Dilyn (25). Having given birth to Keegan after marriage added another layer of determination for Nicole not to succumb to cancer. After receiving her diagnosis, Nicole realized that it wasn’t just her life hanging in the balance, but also the lives of her daughters who rely solely on her now for their care.

Lately, Nicole Eggert has shared some encouraging news on Instagram. On July 26th, she posted that chemotherapy had successfully eliminated any cancer cells in her body around the affected region, paving the way for surgical procedures like a mastectomy and reconstruction to follow.

Reflecting on my journey since Baywatch, I’ve certainly come a long way. At 18, stepping onto the set felt like a dream come true, and I stayed for two exhilarating seasons. Looking back, I confess that when I was younger, I tended to avoid challenges head-on. But today, with no regrets, I face life’s obstacles squarely – it’s either full steam ahead or nothing at all.
