Nicola Cage’s former wife, Christina Fulton, is filing a lawsuit against him, claiming he failed to address their son’s mental health problems, which allegedly led to an attack on her about a year ago. The documents were obtained by People magazine on February 19th.

According to Fulton, she asserts that Cage’s negligence provided an opportunity for their son to execute the assault. The incident that Fulton mentions reportedly started with a heated exchange between her and Weston in April 2024. This dispute soon intensified, resulting in a violent confrontation.

At that point, Fulton didn’t validate the reported argument between her and her son. Alternatively, she asserted that Weston was experiencing a “mental health issue” and stressed the importance of him receiving necessary care.

Come September of that particular year, I found myself in a troubling situation, facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon. After my arrest and subsequent release on bond, it became clear that a regrettable incident had taken place involving me and another individual.

Approximately a year since the event, Fulton has drawn Cage into a legal issue. In her recent lawsuit, she claimed that the actor from Longlegs, whom she wed in 1995 and divorced in 2001, did not take action to provide necessary assistance for their son who was in dire need.

Additionally, she asserted that the actor from Con Air is said to have consumed alcohol with Weston, knowing full well about his past struggles with substance abuse. Moreover, she stated that Cage reportedly intervened multiple times to get Weston released from jail, even when there was evidence suggesting he was indeed guilty of the accusations against him.
