The first poster for the upcoming series Spider-Noir is out, offering fans a glimpse of Nicolas Cage as an older, more serious take on Spider-Man. Set in a 1930s version of New York City, the show features the weary hero working as a private detective and grappling with his troubled history.

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are co-leading the development of Spider-Noir for MGM+. The series is part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Television, Pascal Pictures, Lord Miller Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios. Filmed in Los Angeles from August 2024 to March, the show uses black-and-white cinematography to evoke the style of classic film noir, though a color version will also be available.
Nicolas Cage will play Ben Reilly, the character known as Spider-Man Noir. He previously provided the voice for this same character in the 2018 animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The film features Lamorne Morris as reporter Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson as a thoughtful but intimidating mob boss, Li Jun Li as a nightclub singer, Abraham Popoola as a WWI veteran seeking a fresh start, Jack Huston as a bodyguard, and Karen Rodriguez in a currently secret role.
Originally announced in February 2023, the show confirmed Nicolas Cage as a cast member in May 2024. The series was initially called Noir, but was later changed to Spider-Noir in July 2024. The first poster showcases Cage’s intense performance and gives viewers a sense of the show’s dark and atmospheric feel.
The new series, Spider-Noir, will premiere on MGM+ in 2026, with eight episodes. It will also be available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
