Nicki Minaj Declares Herself Trump’s “Number One Fan” at Accounts Summit

Nicki Minaj is becoming more involved in politics by supporting a new plan from President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, January 28th, the rapper spoke at a summit in Washington, D.C., voicing her strong support for the government’s proposal to set up investment accounts for every newborn baby in the United States.

CNBC reports that Nicki Minaj has promised to donate between $150,000 and $300,000 to the program. After being introduced by Donald Trump and businessman Kevin O’Leary at an event, Minaj told the audience, “I’m likely the president’s biggest fan, and that won’t change. Criticism doesn’t bother me – it actually makes me want to support him even more, and it will motivate all of us to do the same.”

She stated firmly, “We won’t stand for anyone bullying him. He’s a strong person with a lot of support, and we believe God is watching over him.” Minaj had hinted at her work with the Trump Accounts earlier, on January 24th, describing it as a way to ‘give back’.

She emphasized how helping children learn about money early on can be incredibly beneficial. She wrote that giving kids financial knowledge and support will give them a significant advantage, and in some cases, they might even end up teaching their parents about investing, which she finds particularly rewarding.

Truly paying it forward means giving our children a strong start by teaching them about money and providing financial support. It’s wonderful to think they might even end up sharing their financial knowledge with us, their parents, and guiding our investments. That thought really makes me smile!

The “Trump Accounts” are a new program created under the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” Starting January 1, 2025, and running through December 31, 2028, U.S. citizens will be eligible to open an account with an initial $1,000 contribution from the government. Individuals can add up to $5,000 each year, and the money will be invested in the stock market. Account holders can begin withdrawing funds at age 18, following typical IRA guidelines, and projections show that fully funded accounts could reach $1.9 million by age 28.

Michael and Susan Dell have also made a significant contribution, promising over $6 billion in December 2025. Donald Trump praised their generosity as “one of the most generous acts in the history of our country,” and stated that he and various companies would also be donating.

Nicki Minaj has engaged with political events involving the Trump administration before. Last November, she spoke at the United Nations as a guest, addressing the issue of religious violence. Then, in December, she attended Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she publicly expressed her admiration for Trump, stating, “I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope.”

By attending the Treasury Department summit, she demonstrated her ongoing support for the MAGA movement, especially programs focused on teaching Americans about finances and helping children succeed from a young age.
