Nick Frost to Play Hagrid in New Harry Potter TV Series

It appears that Nick Frost is finalizing an agreement to play Hagrid in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series, as reported by industry sources.

In the current negotiations, John Lithgow is set to portray Albus Dumbledore, while discussions are ongoing for Paapa Essiedu to play Professor Severus Snape and Janet McTeer to take on the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall.

Nick Frost, a well-known English actor, is recognized for his roles in movies like “Shaun of the Dead,” “The World’s End,” “Truth Seekers,” “Into the Badlands,” and most recently lent his voice to SM 33 in Disney’s “Skeleton Crew” episode from the Star Wars series.

Robbie Coltrane played Hagrid in the movies and died at the age of 72 back in 2022.
