According to Showbiz 411, Jacob Elordi has been seriously considered for the next James Bond, with meetings already held with the film’s producers and director Denis Villeneuve. There are no reports suggesting Villeneuve is against Elordi, but a final decision about who will play Bond isn’t expected until around the middle of 2026.

This casting choice differs from earlier reports in Deadline, which suggested Amazon was seeking a relatively unknown British actor. Jacob Elordi has demonstrated his acting ability and is quickly becoming a prominent figure in Hollywood. This year, he appeared in Paul Schrader’s “Oh, Canada,” playing a younger version of Richard Gere’s character.

The same year, he received high praise for his role in On Swift Horses, a historical drama focusing on LGBTQ+ relationships. Reviewers particularly admired his nuanced and captivating portrayal of Julius, a gambler experiencing love in 1950s Las Vegas. These performances demonstrate his ability to skillfully handle emotionally challenging and intricate stories.

Jacob Elordi also appeared in the miniseries adaptation of The Narrow Road to the Deep North. He’s best known for playing Frankenstein’s monster in Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix horror series, a performance that recently earned him his first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, announced on January 22nd.
