Disney recently released a fresh trailer for the movie “Tron: Ares“, emphasizing themes of heritage and bond – encompassing both the digital realm and human relationships.
The title “Flynn Lives” hints at the return of Jeff Bridges’ character, Kevin Flynn, and builds anticipation for the movie’s IMAX premiere on October 10.
Watch the trailer below.
Flynn’s Legacy Echoes Through Ares
In a heartfelt introduction, Jeff Bridges’ voice echoes with a hint of nostalgia: “Welcome to The Grid – an uncharted digital landscape that I once believed was beyond reach. However, one day, I found myself stepping into it.
As a movie enthusiast, I’d say it like this: Stepping back into the dazzling world of Tron, I’m greeted by thrilling disc battles, pulse-pounding light cycle races, and mesmerizing neon vistas – iconic elements that immediately transport me to this unique universe. Yet, what catches my eye is the introduction of Ares in our reality, hinting at a blend of old and new visuals. The return of the classic Tron aesthetic suggests that perhaps, Kevin Flynn’s impact still lingers, even if we’re uncertain about his current status.
Ares Continues to Cross Over
In a new development, Jared Leto’s character Ares, an influential, self-aware software entity, once again steps into the physical world. Flynn expresses, “The connection between our worlds is deeper than people realize,” and Gillian Anderson’s persona issues a caution, “If you believe you’re in command of this situation, you are sorely mistaken.
Leto’s Ares himself states, “My world is coming to destroy yours.”
Soundtrack and Release Info
Once more, the location showcases the latest Nine Inch Nails track titled “As Alive As You Need Me To Be.” This song was unveiled as the lead single for the forthcoming Tron: Ares soundtrack, slated for release on September 19. Notably, this is their first album under the Nine Inch Nails moniker in a five-year span, with the entire score being crafted by the band themselves.
Tron: Ares is rated PG-13 and will be released exclusively in theaters and IMAX on October 10.
