Disney unveiled a fresh trailer for the upcoming sci-fi movie, Tron: Ares, which is the next installment in the series and will be released in theaters on October 10th. This film was intentionally produced for IMAX screens.
Ares Crosses Into the Real World
In a nutshell, the story of “Tron: Ares” revolves around Ares, a sophisticated digital entity, who is dispatched from the Grid, the digital universe, into our human world for a critical assignment. This encounter signifies the initial interaction between mankind and an artificial being hailing from the Grid.
The preview showcases a foreboding atmosphere, emphasizing the arrival of Ares within our world, as the ominous voiceover states, “We’re not venturing there; they are coming here.” In this narrative, Ares is portrayed as an unmatched warrior, possessing biblical strength, blazing speed, and extraordinary intelligence.
As a fervent admirer, allow me to share my perspective on this tale. It revolves around Ares, who seems to undergo a transformation, developing a sense of awareness and feelings. He expresses his quest in a way that resonates deeply, saying, “I’m seeking something… something I can’t quite grasp,” and later, “It’s simply… an intuition.
Cast and Crew
In the movie helmed by Joachim Rønning (known for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), the cast includes Jared Leto portraying Ares, along with Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, and Cameron Monaghan. Notable appearances are also made by Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges.
The film was created under the supervision of a team consisting of Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger, who were all involved in production. Russell Allen held the role of executive producer.
