New ‘Thunderbolts*’ Leaks Reveal Troubled Marriages, Health Struggles, and Unexpected Team Dynamics

The film centers around a group of ex-villains, comprising Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes (also known as the Winter Soldier), Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, and Taskmaster. They find themselves united for a perilous undertaking, all while grappling with their intricate histories and connections.

Although details about the storyline are still kept secret, it’s clear that the team will engage in a contest of some sort during an enigmatic assignment. Preliminary viewing tests have elicited positive responses, suggesting that the movie could be highly successful.

Daniel Richtman recently held a Q&A on X and shared some new details about the upcoming movie.

Initially, we have John Walker, a character whose personal life is about to undergo some changes according to an inside source. It’s suggested that his wife might leave him, which could introduce an engaging secondary plotline for future instances featuring this character. Although John Walker’s marriage has been subtly mentioned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it hasn’t been fully delved into yet. This upcoming event is expected to shape his character development without heavily influencing the central storyline of the upcoming movie.

A spectator questioned Richtman whether actor Laurence Fishburne’s character Bill Foster, who was seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp, might feature in the forthcoming Thunderbolts film, and if his cancer arc from that movie would be revisited, with a focus on Ava taking care of him during this period.

Richtman explained that while Bill’s cancer is going to be brought up in the movie through dialogue, you won’t actually see Bill himself on the screen. But, he noted that there might be a possibility of Bill making a surprise appearance in the movie if they decide to add new scenes during reshoots.

A viewer inquired about the character Melina Vostokoff, portrayed by Rachel Weisz, and whether she is referenced in the film. Richtman confirmed that Melina isn’t directly mentioned in the existing cut; however, he hinted at a chance for her to be included during additional filming sessions.

In simpler terms, Taskmaster and Ghost have been extensively discussed, and it’s been revealed that Antonia Dreykov from Black Widow may suffer from memory problems due to her past traumas and experiments. This means she often forgets things and needs reminders. Ava Starr is reportedly assisting Antonia with these issues, which eventually fosters a sincere friendship between them.

The movie titled “Thunderbolts” is set for release on May 2, 2025, signifying the end of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Phase Five.
