New Teaser and Posters Released for ‘Miraculous World: Tokyo – The Stellar Force’

A preview and new posters have been revealed for the upcoming TV special, *Miraculous World: Tokyo – Stellar Force*. This special is part of the popular *Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir* series and is the sixth installment in the *Miraculous World* collection, although it’s the fifth one to be shown to audiences.

Okay, so the story really throws me into Tokyo this time! I get to meet Miki and Kazuno, who are old friends of Kagami’s and part of this awesome Japanese superhero team called the Stellar Force. Basically, it’s Kagami, me, and the Stellar Force teaming up to take down a brand new villain who’s causing trouble for the city. It’s a really cool setup!

As Marinette learns more about her friend’s history, Ladybug will embark on a new, exciting adventure. Following missions in cities like New York, Shanghai, Paris, and London, she’s headed to the other side of the world to team up with other heroes who have amazing abilities, according to Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp.

The special episode set in Tokyo was originally revealed at CCXP 2020 on December 5th. In 2022, Little, Brown and Company listed a book version of the two-part “Origins” story on Edelweiss, suggesting three TV specials were being made. These eventually included *Miraculous Paris* and *Miraculous London*.

According to Variety, two special episodes were being made as of January 11, 2024. While Thomas Astruc initially stated on May 1st that the Tokyo special hadn’t been officially approved, Jun Violet’s LinkedIn profile showed production had begun by June. Sébastien Thibaudeau later revealed on July 5th that he and Astruc were writing the script, hinting at a project codename starting with “J.” In October, Jean-Louis Vandestoc, the creator of *LoliRock*, described the project as an OVA, and Jeremy Zag confirmed the theme song would be in Japanese and that LadyTiger wouldn’t be featured.

I was really excited to hear at MIPJunior that the special we’ve been waiting for should be out by the end of this year! And even better, they’re planning a whole new series called *Miraculous Stellar Force* – it’s set to premiere in 2027, which feels like a long wait, but I’m already looking forward to it!

Variety announced more information about the spin-off – including its complete title and a 2025 release date – on June 7th. Then, at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 10th, a couple of short clips were shown. Over the next month, more completed and storyboarded scenes were revealed at industry events: the TFOU Back-to-school conference on July 2nd, and San Diego Comic-Con on July 24th.

The first teaser and posters are now available, giving fans a sneak peek at the exciting action to come. They showcase the unique mecha designs of the Stellar Force team and hint at the high-tech adventures planned for the Tokyo special.
