New ‘Superheroic’ Movies & TV Shows Set to Release in November 2025

These movies and shows aren’t strictly superhero stories, but they all have that same exciting, epic feel – like classic heroes tackling huge challenges. Throughout the month, you can look forward to stories with masked adventurers, missions to save the world, unbelievable threats, and large groups of characters working together, both in theaters and on streaming services.

‘Predator: Badlands’ (2025)

The latest installment in the Predator series introduces Dek, a young Predator who’s been exiled, and Thia, a damaged synthetic human created by Weyland Yutani. They team up on a dangerous alien planet, facing off against other hunters and a particularly powerful Predator. Unlike previous films, this one delves into Predator society, focusing on their traditions and internal struggles. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison, the movie stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster Koloamatangi. It’s rated PG-13 and will be in theaters November 7th, distributed by 20th Century Studios.

‘The Running Man’ (2025)

I’m really excited about Edgar Wright’s new film! It’s based on that Stephen King novel – you know, the one about a dangerous reality show where people try to outrun hunters for a huge prize. He’s reimagined it as this super-fast-paced road movie set in a future where everything’s watched and recorded. It focuses on a guy named Ben Richards and honestly, it looks intense. The cast is amazing too – Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Emilia Jones, Lee Pace, even Michael Cera! It’s hitting UK cinemas on November 12th, and we in the US get it a couple of days later, on November 14th. I’ve already got my tickets!

‘Altered’ (2025)

In a near-future world transformed by genetic engineering, outsiders Leon and Chloe battle against powerful, dishonest leaders who are taking advantage of the divide between those who’ve been modified and those who haven’t. This sci-fi action movie is directed by Timo Vuorensola and features Tom Felton, Aggy K. Adams, and Richard Brake. Well Go USA will release it in select theaters, with a digital release date of November 21st. The film lasts 87 minutes, and trailers suggest a story about the consequences of a world rebuilt through human enhancement and the resulting underground rebellion.

‘Stranger Things’ (2016–2025)

The last season of the show returns to Hawkins, bringing the story of the Upside Down to a close in three parts. Volume 1 will be available on November 26th, followed by Volume 2 on December 25th, and a final installment on December 31st. Set in the fall of 1987, the season features the return of Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Max, alongside familiar adult characters and some new ones. Netflix revealed this release plan at its Tudum event and is planning fan celebrations worldwide.

‘The Mighty Nein’ (2025– )

Prime Video’s animated series, based on the popular web series Critical Role’s second campaign, tells the story of a group of unlikely heroes – fugitives and misfits – who come together to prevent a world-ending disaster connected to a mysterious and powerful artifact. Set in the world of Exandria, specifically the continent of Wildemount, the show features the original Critical Role cast as well as several guest stars. Amazon announced the series would premiere on November 19th, sharing previews and promoting it throughout the fall. All episodes are available to stream on Prime Video starting with the first episode.

‘Robin Hood’ (2025– )

Lionsgate Television’s new take on the Robin Hood legend, for MGM Plus, stars Jack Patten as Robin Hood and Lauren McQueen as Marian. Sean Bean plays the Sheriff of Nottingham. The story centers on the son of a Saxon forester and the daughter of a Norman lord, who join forces to fight for fairness in England after the Norman invasion. Filming took place in Serbia in early 2025, and the cast also includes Connie Nielsen and Steven Waddington. The series will debut on MGM Plus on November 2nd.

‘Pluribus’ (2025– )

Vince Gilligan, the creator of Better Call Saul, returns with a new series on Apple TV Plus. The show follows a deeply unhappy person tasked with preventing the world from being forced into constant happiness. Rhea Seehorn leads the cast, joined by Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga. Apple has already renewed the series for two seasons and will launch it on November 7th with the first two episodes. The first season will have a total of nine episodes, continuing Gilligan and Seehorn’s successful working relationship.
