As a seasoned Star Wars fan with memories of the original trilogy etched into my very soul, I can hardly contain my excitement over the revival of ‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.’ I remember those daring pilots, their courage and camaraderie inspiring us all to dream beyond the stars.

The film project known as ‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron,’ which was previously announced in 2020, is said to be actively being worked on again.

Initially linked to the project, film director Patty Jenkins, famous for ‘Wonder Woman,’ encountered some setbacks that led to the production being postponed. Eventually, it was taken off Disney’s planned release calendar in 2022.

In a recent interview, Jenkins confirmed that discussions with Lucasfilm have resumed, and she is set to deliver a new draft of the script.

As per DanielRPK’s update on Patreon, the project has started progressing. The ‘Rogue Squadron’ concept is designed to unveil a fresh group of starfighter pilots, taking cues from the iconic Rebel Alliance squadron from the original Star Wars trilogy.
