A recent data leak from the upcoming game Monster Hunter Wilds has revealed a first look at the new Nintendo Switch 2. The image shows four players holding what appear to be Switch 2 consoles while playing the game. It seems to be part of a tutorial for local multiplayer, but all mentions of the Switch 2 have been removed from the image.
Capcom hasn’t officially said if the game will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2, but information discovered within the game’s files suggests it might be. You can see a leaked image hinting at this below.

Capcom recently announced a large expansion is coming for the game, and they’ll share details this summer. A new update, version 1.041, is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, improving performance and adding a special mission based on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
In our review, we gave Monster Hunter Wilds 4 out of 5 stars, calling it a fantastic sequel to Capcom’s biggest hit. The updated gameplay is the best the series has ever offered, and features like Focus Mode are a great addition. Despite some performance problems, we found the game incredibly addictive and praised its engaging story and numerous improvements. It’s a perfect time to start playing Monster Hunter if you’re new to the series.
