What is Mercy about?
In the near future, a detective (Chris Pratt) stands on trial accused of murdering his wife.
He has just 90 minutes to convince the highly intelligent A.I. Judge – Rebecca Ferguson, whom he previously supported – that he’s innocent, or she’ll decide his fate.

Cast and Creative Team
Rebecca Ferguson stars as the cold, artificial intelligence who serves as the judge, while Kali Reis, Annabelle Wallis, Chris Sullivan, and Kylie Rogers play key roles as members of Pratt’s support system and those opposing him.
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Marco van Belle, the film was produced by Charles Roven, Robert Amidon, Timur Bekmambetov, and Majd Nassif. Mark Moran and Todd Williams were executive producers.
IMAX, 3D, and Theatrical Release
Mercy was filmed for IMAX and created to be best enjoyed in theaters. Amazon plans to release it as a major film in early 2026, specifically on January 23rd. It will open with no other major movies competing for audiences and will be promoted with a focus on its immersive 3D experience.
