A recent preview of Sam Raimi’s upcoming thriller, Send Help, featuring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, has generated excitement among fans, as reported by ScreenRant.
After a plane crash, two coworkers find themselves stranded on a deserted island. They have to rely on their wits and each other to survive, even as tension and dark humor arise.
Okay, so I just heard about this new movie, and it stars Rachel McAdams as Linda and Dylan O’Brien as her boss, Bradley. Apparently, they have some history, and they’re forced to work together while stuck in a pretty intense situation. 20th Century Studios is calling it a darkly funny, suspenseful story about two people trying to outsmart each other just to survive – sounds good, right?

The horror film project began in October 2019 with the announcement that Sam Raimi would direct, based on a script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The cast assembled over the next few years, starting with Rachel McAdams in October 2024 and followed by Chris Pang in December. By early 2025, Dylan O’Brien and Dennis Haysbert had also joined, officially confirming Rachel McAdams’ participation.
Production reports indicate filming occurred between February and April in Sydney, Los Angeles, and Thailand. The film is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on January 30, 2026, by 20th Century Studios.
