Each year on March 10th, we celebrate everything Super Mario – from the heroes to the villains! If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, you might need a serious look from Luigi! But don’t worry, there’s a simple explanation: it’s MAR10 Day, a holiday dedicated to the iconic video game character. LEGO is joining in the fun again this year, adding a new Mario Kart-themed set to their Nintendo collection. This time, it’s the LEGO Luigi & Mach 8 set!
LEGO is releasing a large new set for its Super Mario line: the Luigi & Mach 8 Kart. This highly detailed model is over 10 inches tall, 16 inches long, and 9 inches wide, making it bigger than last year’s Mario Kart set. It’s the first time LEGO has created a large-scale version of the Mach 8 vehicle. The 2,234-piece set is designed for builders age 18 and up and includes a poseable Luigi figure and a display stand to create racing poses.
If you want to play with it on the move, you can! This LEGO Luigi & Mach 8 set isn’t just for display – it can roll! It features working front wheels and a steering wheel so you can control where it goes. Plus, when the back wheels turn, they create a LEGO version of the Mach 8’s signature flame exhaust.

The LEGO Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8 set is available for pre-order now for $179.99. It officially releases on April 1st at LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and on the LEGO Insiders App. Get ready to add a seriously impressive LEGO set to your collection!
We feel bad for anyone who doesn’t already know what that means.
