New ‘Keeper’ Teaser Trailer Drops as Osgood Perkins’ Next Horror Sets November Release

A fresh teaser trailer for the upcoming horror film titled Keeper is now available, offering an initial chilling glimpse into Osgood Perkins’ newest cinematic creation for horror enthusiasts.

The movie has been confirmed for a theater release on November 14, 2025. Originally, it was planned for an October debut, however, the release date has been adjusted.

Keeper” – An Imminent American Horror Production

This upcoming horror film is titled “Keeper.” It’s a chilling production written by Nick Lepard, with Perkins, who’s known for his eerie and suspenseful directing style, at the helm. In this movie, Tatiana Maslany plays the character Liz, while Rossif Sutherland portrays Malcolm.

The narrative centers around Liz, who encounters a shocking turn when Malcolm reappears in the city. Subsequently, she finds herself ensnared and cut off from the world in a secluded cabin. As suggested by the synopsis, Liz discovers an indescribable horror that gradually reveals the chilling mysteries hidden within the cabin’s walls.

In May 2024, the movie initially gained attention at the Cannes Film Market, where it was presented to various film studios for acquisition. As reported by Screen Daily, Perkins had already agreed to direct, while Maslany and Sutherland were confirmed as the main actors.

I’ve been captivated by the fact that Chris Ferguson and Jesse Savath, an impressive duo, are the visionaries behind this intriguing project. They’re tirelessly bringing it to life through their creative collective, Oddfellows. By July 2024, they completed filming, with Jeremy Cox masterfully handling the cinematography.

At Cannes, the distribution rights for the film were acquired by Neon, giving them control over both U.S. and global distribution rights, according to Deadline. Since Neon is expanding its international distribution efforts, Keeper will contribute to this initiative. In Canada, Elevation Pictures will be responsible for the film’s release.

Following Perkins’ recent string of successful films at the box office, this upcoming movie is in the spotlight. Last year’s unexpected hit, “Longlegs,” starring Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, garnered widespread attention. With a modest budget of $10 million, it managed to gross an impressive $128 million, becoming the top-grossing independent film of 2024.

In the earlier part of this year, Perkins also achieved success with “The Monkey”, a film adaptation by Stephen King featuring Theo James. This production raked in an impressive $68.6 million globally. It remains to be seen if “Keeper” will reach similar heights, but there’s certainly a lot of anticipation.

The brief trailer offers few plot details, instead focusing on establishing an atmosphere. It depicts various women enduring a disturbing predicament, though specifics remain concealed at this time. Rather than disclosing narrative elements, it primarily aims to build suspense, a tactic reminiscent of Perkins’ previous work that may appeal to his devoted followers.

With the teaser available online and the official release date announced, horror enthusiasts can begin their countdown to November. Given Perkins’ recent triumphs, Keeper might well become another acclaimed addition to the genre.
