New Horror from ‘Barbarian’ Director: Mysterious Disappearances and Hidden Tunnels!

Warner Bros. has unveiled the initial trailer for the upcoming horror film titled “Weapons“, a project penned and directed by the same creative minds behind the successful movie, “Barbarian“.

The teaser unveils a popular website called MaybrookMissing.com, hinting at the mysterious event where “17 Local Children Disappear from Their Homes All at Once at 2:17AM.” Take a look here.

In the heart of Detroit’s Brightmoor district, a rental property is at the center of a disturbing inquiry. A local resident managed to flee the premises under extremely alarming conditions, while a performer was tragically discovered deceased not far from the scene.

The authorities were called following the discovery of Tess Marshall, aged 28, who was found injured and confused outside a house on Barberry Street. Initially, this seemed like a routine wellness check, but it soon escalated into a major crime scene. Intriguing findings were made as investigators discovered a complex system of hidden underground passages beneath the residence, raising questions about the property’s past and possible links to cold cases involving missing persons spanning several decades.

According to reliable sources involved in the investigation, it is believed that the tunnels were constructed during the 1980s by a former homeowner who has since passed away. Shocking discoveries made within these underground passages hint at prolonged and potentially illicit activities; however, the police have yet to verify these findings as they continue their forensic examination.

Lately, the property was advertised as a temporary lodging option. It’s said that Marshall, who was in town for a job interview, had been residing there when things suddenly turned violent.

City authorities are now advising caution and have planned emergency checks on comparable vacant or poorly maintained buildings across the Brightmoor area. Mayor Sheryl Parks expressed concern, labeling the incident “troubling,” and pledged a thorough investigation to understand how such activities could remain undetected for an extended period.

Under the production of New Line Cinema and Zach Cregger, creator of Barbarian, emerges an entirely original horror/thriller titled Weapons. After nearly every child from the same class vanishes simultaneously on the same night at an identical hour, a community finds itself puzzled over the identity of the culprit or the cause behind these mysterious disappearances.

In this movie, we have Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher gracing the screen, while also featuring Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.

In this project, Zach Cregger serves as both the director and producer, working alongside Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules. Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin serve as executive producers. The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Larkin Seiple as cinematographer, Tom Hammock as production designer, Joe Murphy handling the editing, and Trish Sommerville working on costumes. The music is a collaboration between Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay, and Zach Cregger.
