In this game, the main character is a fresh face named Aidan. The storyline revolves around his mission to save his girlfriend Sunny from the underworld, Hell. He initially strikes a deal with the wicked Cenobite, Pinhead. Later, he manages to unlock the Genesis Configuration and utilizes it to break free from the torturous Labyrinth. For long-time fans of the series, there’s an exciting return as original actor Doug Bradley lends his voice once again to the character of Pinhead – a role he last played in 2005’s “Hellraiser: Hellworld”. Notably, this marks Bradley’s first portrayal of Pinhead since then. The trailer for “Hellraiser: Revival” also showcases the distinctive music from Barker’s original films.
Enthusiasts can look forward to Clive Barker personally re-entering the scene as a consultant for this upcoming game. As stated on the official PlayStation blog, “the Hellraiser universe is characterized by its unrelenting examination of pain, pleasure, and the fragile, terrifying boundary between them, which is the core of our game.” Saber Interactive has further announced that there will be two Collector’s Editions available, featuring an exclusive Puzzle Box and a stunning Hellraiser statue for display. Unfortunately, a specific release date for Hellraiser: Revival has not been disclosed yet, but it is confirmed to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
