New Fantasy Movies & TV Shows Set to Release in November 2025

November offers a packed lineup of exciting entertainment, including fantasy adventures, musical experiences, animated stories, and a final visit to the town of Hawkins. ‘Pluribus’ (2025– )

Vince Gilligan’s latest show centers around a deeply unhappy woman who has the unlikely job of protecting the world from becoming too happy. Rhea Seehorn stars in the leading role. The first two episodes will be available on Apple TV+ on November 7th, and the first season will have nine episodes total. Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Vesga also star, and Gilligan is working with many of his frequent collaborators as executive producers. The show combines science fiction and drama, and features a complex, intriguing story that will unfold throughout the season.

‘In Your Dreams’ (2025)

Join siblings Stevie and Elliot on a magical animated journey through the world of dreams! They’re on a quest to find the Sandman and make a wish to help their family. Featuring the voices of Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Elias Janssen, Craig Robinson, Simu Liu, and Cristin Milioti, this Netflix Animation and Kuku Studios film is full of playful imagination, including zombie breakfast foods and a queen of nightmares, all set to music by John Debney. It will be in select theaters starting November 7th, and available to stream on Netflix November 14th.

‘The Mighty Nein’ (2025– )

Prime Video’s new animated series is based on the popular web series Critical Role, specifically its second campaign which takes place in the world of Exandria. The story unfolds as conflict grows between two powerful nations: the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty. The original Critical Role cast returns to voice their characters – including Jester, Caleb, Beau, Fjord, Nott, Yasha, and Mollymauk – and more guest voice actors will be revealed throughout the fall. The first episodes will be available on Prime Video starting November 19th, with new episodes released weekly. The series follows a band of unlikely heroes who unite when a dangerous artifact puts the very fabric of reality at risk.

‘Wicked: For Good’ (2025)

The second chapter of the musical adaptation follows Elphaba and Glinda as their stories continue, leading up to Dorothy’s arrival in Oz. Directed by Jon M Chu, the film stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, with supporting roles played by Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. It will be released in theaters on November 21, including premium formats. The movie continues the story from the Broadway musical (based on the novel by Gregory Maguire), picking up after Elphaba flees the Wizard’s rule.

‘Eternity’ (2025)

This fantasy romance centers on Joan, who has one week in the afterlife to decide where she’ll spend eternity. She must choose between her husband and a past love who died tragically. Starring Elizabeth Olsen as Joan, with Miles Teller and Callum Turner, the film is directed by David Freyne. After premiering at film festivals, it will be released nationwide by A24 on November 26th. The story takes place in unique worlds governed by specific rules, and it’s a thought-provoking exploration of memory, commitment, and a complicated love triangle.

‘Stranger Things’ (2016–2025)

The fifth and final season of the show will be released in three parts, starting November 26th on Netflix. More episodes will be available during the holiday season. Set in the fall of 1987, this season brings back the main cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Millie Bobby Brown. Netflix is planning special events and limited theatrical screenings to celebrate the end of the series. The story will finally resolve the conflict with the Upside Down, but also leave the door open for potential future shows set in this world.

This adventure, from Skydance Animation and led by showrunner Bobs Gannaway, stars Jeanine Mason, Teri Hatcher, and Gary Anthony Williams. Premiering November 26th on Apple TV+, the season sees Eva, along with friends like Rovender and Muthr, urgently searching for answers about what happened to humanity.
