November is packed with exciting movies and shows! You’ll find everything from sci-fi thrillers with alien hunts to a revamped, more intense version of a classic dystopian game show. Several major franchises are ending with big, spectacular conclusions. There are also historical dramas set in feudal Japan, intense police stories from Belfast, fun animated adventures with dinosaurs and futuristic heroes, and even a romantic holiday heist. Here’s a guide to help you find everything and decide what to watch, with details about the plots and how they were made.
‘Predator: Badlands’ (2025)

Hitting theaters November 7th, this new Predator movie introduces Dek, a young Predator unlike any seen before. He teams up with Thia, a synthetic human created by Weyland-Yutani, to survive on what’s considered the most dangerous planet in the galaxy. Actress Elle Fanning plays both Thia and her twin sister, Tessa, who becomes a competing synthetic with her own plans. This film is a first for the franchise, rated PG-13, and dives deeper into the Predator culture, exploring the Yautja themselves instead of focusing solely on humans they hunt. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and from 20th Century Studios, it will be available in RealD 3D and IMAX.
‘The Running Man’ (2025)

Edgar Wright’s new movie, based on Stephen King’s novel, arrives in theaters November 14th. It’s about a dangerous game where people can go anywhere in the world to escape powerful, corporate hunters. Starring Glen Powell, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, and Emilia Jones, the film – co-written by Wright and Michael Bacall – is a fresh take on the story, focusing more on its dark, controlling themes than the 1987 version. Get ready for a worldwide chase filled with twists involving how the media and government control information.
‘Trap House’ (2025)

Hitting theaters November 14th, this action-comedy follows two DEA agents who are shocked to discover their own teenage children are behind a series of daring heists. The kids have used their parents’ training and confidential information to steal from a powerful cartel. Directed by Michael Dowse and starring Dave Bautista (who also produces), alongside Jack Champion, Sophia Lillis, and Tony Dalton, the film unfolds in El Paso and combines thrilling heist elements with the complications of family drama, as the agents try to outsmart their kids. Aura Entertainment is distributing the film in the U.S.
‘Muzzle: City of Wolves’ (2025)

Coming to theaters November 14th, this new film brings back Aaron Eckhart as Jake Rosser, a former K-9 officer. He’s trying to enjoy a peaceful life with his family and his retired police dog, Socks, but trouble finds them when a dangerous gang sets its sights on them. Jake is forced to team up with a new K-9 partner, Argos, and re-enter the criminal world. The movie builds on the story from the 2023 film, revealing a bigger plot involving corrupt officials and a drug operation. Directed again by John Stalberg Jr. and distributed by RLJE Films, the film explores themes of PTSD, family protection, and a relentless pursuit of revenge through a dangerous criminal network.
‘Altered’ (2025)

Hitting theaters November 21, this new sci-fi action film from Timo Vuorensola stars Tom Felton as Leon. The story takes place in a present-day world where a genetically superior class rules over those who haven’t been modified, forcing the latter to live in secret. Leon and Chloe team up to reveal the dishonest politicians who are profiting from this genetic divide and hope to spark a revolution. Made for around $15 million and filmed in part in Kazakhstan, the movie will have a limited release in the U.S. after playing at film festivals. It features a futuristic, cyberpunk setting and focuses on a rebellion against genetic manipulation.
‘Sisu: Road to Revenge’ (2025)

Hitting theaters November 21st, this action-packed sequel follows Aatami Korpi, a tough survivor who’s rebuilding his life after tragedy. He’s on the move, hauling what’s left of his home across the country, but a dangerous enemy from his past – a ruthless Red Army commander who killed his family – is back to finish the job. Jorma Tommila returns as Aatami, alongside Stephen Lang and Richard Brake. Screen Gems is distributing the film worldwide, excluding Finland. Expect thrilling practical stunts, a fast-paced story, and a relentless chase through war-torn scenery. A preview trailer gave audiences a taste of the intense action to come.
‘Zootopia 2’ (2025)

I’m so excited for the new Zootopia movie! It hits theaters November 26th, and from what I’ve heard, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back on the case, investigating this mysterious new reptile character, Gary De’Snake. Apparently, his arrival uncovers a whole secret community of reptiles living in the city! Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are reprising their roles, which is fantastic, and they’ve added some amazing new voices like Ke Huy Quan and Quinta Brunson. Disney’s been hinting at some cool new locations and music too. It sounds like this case is really going to test Judy and Nick’s partnership and take them somewhere they’ve never been before. It’s a wide release during the holidays, so I’m already planning my trip to the cinema!
‘Robin Hood’ (2025– )

A new series begins streaming November 2nd on MGM+. It’s set in medieval England after the Norman invasion and tells the story of Rob, a Saxon forester’s son, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord, who join forces to fight against injustice. The show follows officers dealing with crime, the effects of past conflicts, and tensions within the community. New episodes will be available on BritBox shortly after they air on BBC One. This season’s storylines are more complex, increasing the pressure on the police unit as they investigate a growing criminal conspiracy. Created by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, the series is known for its realistic portrayal of police work and compelling characters. Viewers can expect a fast-paced season with challenging cases, conflicts between different agencies, and personal struggles for Grace, Annie, and Tommy.
‘Last Samurai Standing’ (2025– )

A new action series arrives on Netflix November 15th. Set in Japan’s Meiji era, it follows 292 samurai who are drawn to Kyoto’s Tenryū-ji Temple for a dangerous competition called Kodoku. The last samurai standing wins a massive prize of 100 billion yen. Starring Junichi Okada, and with episodes first shown at the Busan film festival, the series depicts a turbulent time in history where warriors struggled with poverty, disease, and a changing world. Expect plenty of action and a richly detailed historical setting alongside the battle-royale storyline.
‘The Mighty Nein’ (2025– )

The new series, based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons game Critical Role, starts streaming November 19th on Prime Video. It follows a unique group of adventurers in the land of Wildemount as they get caught up in a war between countries and the search for a missing artifact from the Kryn Dynasty. The original cast from Critical Role returns, alongside new voices including Mark Strong and Ming-Na Wen. The creators have hinted at connections to their previous series, ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’, and a sneak peek was shown at Comic-Con.
‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’ (2024–2025)

The fourth and final season of the animated series ‘Camp Cretaceous’ arrives on Netflix November 20th. Darius, Ben, and their friends—known as the Nublar Six—are back to face new dangers, including both humans and dinosaurs, with the stakes now global. This season ties into the events of ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ and wraps up the ongoing storylines. Returning to lead the show are Aaron Hammersley and Scott Kreamer, alongside executive producers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow, and Frank Marshall. This final season will reveal a large-scale plot that threatens both humans and dinosaurs.
‘Stranger Things’ (2016–2025)

Get ready, because the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is almost here! Starting November 26th on Netflix, we’re diving back into Hawkins, but things are seriously different. The show picks up in the fall of 1987 with the town under military lockdown as Eleven and the gang prepare for one last, massive showdown with Vecna. The Duffer Brothers are promising an epic conclusion, and they’ve even brought in The Walking Dead‘s Frank Darabont to direct an episode! Thankfully, we’re not saying goodbye to our favorites – Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder all return. Plus, get this – Linda Hamilton is joining the cast! The season will roll out in three parts, with the first four episodes hitting Netflix on November 26th, more arriving on December 25th, and the series finale dropping on December 31st. Interestingly, you’ll also be able to see the very last chapter in select theaters on the same day it streams.
‘WondLa’ (2024–2025)
