
Netflix has announced the end is near for the comedy series The Upshaws. The final episodes will be released on January 15, 2026, bringing the story of the funny and heartwarming Upshaw family to a close after beginning in 2021.
The series centers around Bennie Upshaw, played by Mike Epps, a husband and father who often creates his own problems as he tries to provide for his family. He’s a well-intentioned man who has a hard time staying focused, but the Upshaw family is committed to supporting each other and achieving their goals together.
The show stars Wanda Sykes, Kim Fields, Khali Spraggins, Jermelle Simon, and Journey Christine. Wanda Sykes and Regina Hicks not only created the series but also oversee it as showrunners and executive producers. Mike Epps, Page Hurwitz, and Niles Kirchner are also producers on the show.
Netflix released a short preview of the final season, showing the cast coming together for a script read-through as they prepare to finish the series. The clip gives a glimpse of the heartfelt emotions as the team wraps up the story.
